Committees

Program Committee

Roles: Shall offer ideas and suggestions, as well plan out programs that will benefit our members and chamber.

Membership Committee

Roles: Shall work together to attain new members as well as ideas to retain our current membership. It should also be this committee’s responsibility to question any application for membership if they felt it necessary.

Directory Committee

Roles: Shall work to assist the executive administrator in gathering information, selling advertisements and proof-reading the Spotlight Directory Community Information and Resource Guide Book.

Marketing Committee

Roles: Shall work to raise needed revenue for operations and to raise donations for both chamber and foundation. The marketing committee may use a range of methods to get the word out: press releases, newspaper advertisement, social media, flyers, email, etc.

Scholarship Committee

Roles: Shall work to assist with the collection of applications, review of applicants, and the final selection of recipients for the scholarship award. Also shall assist in the program that is set in place for recipients.

By-Laws Committee

Roles: Regulate the by-laws of the Chamber of Commerce

Budget Committee (Chamber and Foundation)

Roles: Shall be the responsibility to assist the monthly receipts/expenses of the chamber and questions any transactions which may not be clear. Shall work with the executive administrator and treasurer to ensure that all reporting is done in a timely manner. Should also meet in May to plan the budget for the chamber and November for the Foundation.

Nominating Committee

Roles: Select nominee equal in number to the vacancies to be filled on the board and select a slate of officers. It shall also be their duty to contact each nominee and obtain his or her agreement to service if elected. They shall convene in May and present the nominees to the board not later than the December meeting.

Website Committee

Roles: Shall work with the chamber in areas for design and maintenance. Also should assist in questions regarding the analytical reports to promote advertising.

Banquet Committee

Roles: Shall assist with the annual banquet, Installation of Officers, Anniversary Awardees, Spotlight Award, selecting location, music, photographer, attaining gifts, etc.
