Who We Are:   At Ferrara’s Transmissions the customer comes first. Over the years our customers have varied in complexity, including Police, Fire, Emergency, Educational, Business, and county vehicles, they have all relied on us to solve all of their transmission problems. Our History: Ferrara’s Transmission Service is a family owned and operated business located in Bloomfield, NJ. Established in 1948 by Anthony Ferrara, we have continued our commitment to excel in servicing and rebuilding transmissions for over 65 years. Anthony was in auto service since high school, and had worked for various car dealerships in North Jersey. In early 1950, he was one of the few chosen by GM to attend a transmission seminar in NYC. At the time transmission service was still in it’s infancy. The course offered the important training and expertise in this specialized automotive field, allowing Anthony to start and build his own business.

Today as Anthony has retired, Ferrara’s Transmissions is still family operated by Anthony’s son Mike Ferrara, and grandson, Matt Ferrara who continue the tradition set out so many year’s ago, to provide quality service too all it’s customers. 3 generations later, with a 4th generation of baby boys, Ferrara’s continues to exemplify the American Dream, and to grow a successful family business!
