Clara Maass Medical Center Celebrates 150th Anniversary!

Clara Maass Medical Center, a facility of RWJBarnabas Health officially celebrated 150 years of care and compassion since it was founded in 1869 as Newark German Hospital.

Since that time, what we now know as Clara Maass Medical Center has provided welcoming care for all types of people in all kinds of circumstances.

Almost from the day it opened, the administrators and medical staff have seized opportunities to expand and to provide more advanced healthcare to the community it serves, and we look forward to 150 more years of successful service.

Welcome to Bloomfield College: The Presidential Inauguration of Dr. Marcheta P. Evans, 17th President of Bloomfield College is Friday, December 6. She is the first female and first African-American to ever be president of Bloomfield College. Bloomfield College is the only predominantly black institution of higher ed in NJ and also a hispanic serving institution.
